CardPecker is developed by TravelPal LLC. This policy describes how CardPecker 1.4 and later handles your data.
CardPecker stores the information you enter in its local app database. This may include card names and reward rules, spending categories, benefits and usage, receipts and attached images, rewards balances, and card-linked offers. CardPecker does not ask for or store full card numbers, bank passwords, or login credentials.
CardPecker has no TravelPal account or external CardPecker data server. TravelPal does not receive or have access to your cards, receipts, balances, offers, location, or backup files. The app does not include analytics, advertising, or tracking technology, and TravelPal does not sell or share your app data.
If you choose to scan or attach a receipt, CardPecker requests access to the camera or the photos you select. Text recognition runs on your device using Apple frameworks. Receipt images you keep are stored with the app's local files and may be included in a backup.
If you open Nearby Offers and grant location permission, CardPecker uses your current location to search for nearby merchant locations with Apple Maps services. CardPecker requests location only while you use the app, does not store your coordinates, and does not send them to TravelPal. Apple may process the search request under Apple's privacy policy. You can deny or revoke location access in iOS Settings.
CardPecker Sync is an optional Safari extension. When enabled for a supported bank or loyalty website, it can read the rewards balance and offer text displayed on a page where you have already signed in. That extracted information is passed to CardPecker through an on-device App Group. The extension does not read or store passwords, cookies, or authentication tokens, and it does not send the extracted information to TravelPal. You control the extension and its website permissions in iOS Settings.
CardPecker can create backup files containing your app data, including attached receipt images. Manual backups are saved to the Files location you choose. Automatic backups are saved to your own iCloud Drive through Apple's iCloud service; the default frequency is weekly, and you can change it to Off, Daily, Weekly, or Monthly under Settings → Backup & Restore. TravelPal cannot access these files. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy.
CardPecker does not use cookies, analytics tools, advertising identifiers, or any form of tracking.
Local data remains on your device until you delete individual records or uninstall CardPecker. Uninstalling removes the app's local database and files. Backup files saved in Files or iCloud Drive are separate and remain until you delete them from those locations. You can disable automatic backup at any time and manage Safari Sync and location permissions in iOS Settings.
CardPecker does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
